What happen to us?
Where did we go?
How did we drift apart?

We live together
Yet so alone
Each cautiously guarding our heart.

There is no laughter
The wonder is gone
We don’t even seem to be friends,

The future is bleak
The road to long
Unless we can make amends.

I can not beg
There’s no tear to cry
I can not make you share,

There’s part of you
That’s gone from me
And I’m not even sure you care.

I’ve tried so hard
To reach your soul
And help you to understand,

But you closed the door
You hide behind
And left me in no mans land.

Do you still want us?
Can we return?
To the love we once had.

Or have we gotten
So far apart
That all that remains is sad?
